Submissions

Submissions are due Sunday, August 18, 8 AM PDT. You can do one of the following:

Anyone has the option to watch the presentations live. As the time gets closer to 8 AM, we'll check in with each team to see how they're doing and how they want to showcase their work. After presentations, the judges will then deliberate and announce the winners.

Theme

To be released August 17, 8 AM PDT when the hackathon starts! It will not be specific like "games only", or "build a website", but something generic like "helping the environment", or "solving a problem in your community".

You can choose to go with any one of the three below. Covering more than one theme won't necessarily give you more points. Below each theme listing I put some bullet points of roughly what the theme is, however, be creative! If you can justify the reason your project abides by the theme, that works for us!

Scoring criteria

Judges will evaluate each project based on the following criteria, using a scale that allows for fractional points.

Teams consisting of only one person will automatically receive a 2-point bonus to recognize their solo effort. The scoring does not differ further based on team size.
