Loose Thoughts

  • it appears my most-viewed polaroid (proportional to how far off center each is) is my embarrassed pelican that couldn't get a fish; who would figure

  • my coding ideas doc is 20 pages long now... i have a feeling this backlog isn't ever getting cleared

  • such a sinking feeling realizing you've been staring at your own work for long enough that you begin to dislike it and nobody nor any stat can convince you it's alright

  • yoe != experience?

  • i think it's easier to tell when you're wrong, than when you're right

  • telling people your goals gives the worst kind of dopamine

  • i can't prove it, but there's definitely a correlation between clash royale skill and software engineering ability

  • just because something is difficult, it doesn’t mean, once done, it’s worth automatically including in the finished product — i've made this mistake waaaaay too many times

  • i find it crazy how many things that in-the-moment feel reckless compared to the 'responsible' status quo — like postponing studying to work on random projects — turn out to be some of the things i regretted the least and had the most positive impact on my life

  • my blog post on the ccm method for uvic (a class project) is dead year-round, only coming alive when the class is offered... funny coincidence
